SwiphtPapers — Terms of Use
Last updated: 27 April 2026 · Effective: 27 April 2026
About these Terms
SwiphtPapers is distributed through the Apple App Store. Your licence to use the application itself is governed by Apple's Standard End User Licence Agreement (EULA), which applies automatically to every app downloaded from the App Store.
These supplementary Terms of Use cover matters specific to SwiphtPapers — chiefly the optional SwiphtPapers Advanced subscription. Where these Terms conflict with Apple's EULA, Apple's EULA prevails to the extent required by Apple's policies.
Your licence
Subject to Apple's EULA and these Terms, Pengfan Chang (the "Developer") grants you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to install and use SwiphtPapers on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, for your own non-commercial or internal-business use.
You agree not to: copy or redistribute the app outside Apple's authorised channels; reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app except where permitted by applicable law; or remove, alter, or obscure copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices.
SwiphtPapers Advanced — subscription terms
What you get
SwiphtPapers Advanced unlocks: ten papers in total (free tier is limited to three), unlimited saved versions per paper, the emoji and icon picker, code-syntax highlighting, link previews, audio recording with on-device transcription, location capture, and App Lock.
Price & billing
Two billing options are offered:
- •Monthly — US$5.00 per month, with a one-month free trial for new subscribers.
- •Annual — US$4.99 per year, with a one-month free trial for new subscribers.
Prices in your local currency, where different, are set by Apple's App Store pricing matrix and shown in the app and on the App Store before purchase. Local taxes may apply.
Auto-renewal
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period until cancelled. Your Apple Account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the current period ends, at the price disclosed at the time of subscribing. You can manage or cancel a subscription at any time in Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions on iOS / iPadOS, or in the App Store app on macOS. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period; the subscription is not pro-rated.
Free trial
If you have not previously subscribed, your first subscription begins with a one-month free trial. Cancel at any time during the trial to avoid being charged. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription begins and your Apple Account is charged at the disclosed price.
Refunds
All subscription billing is handled by Apple. Refund requests are made through Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com, subject to Apple's media-services refund policies and the consumer-protection laws of your jurisdiction. We do not directly process refunds.
Family Sharing
SwiphtPapers Advanced supports Apple Family Sharing. The organiser's subscription extends to the members of the Family Sharing group on each member's own Apple Account. Family Sharing is configured on Apple's side; refer to Apple's documentation for details.
Your content
Anything you write, record, or import into SwiphtPapers belongs to you. We claim no ownership of, and no licence to, your content. We do not transmit your content to any server we control.
You are responsible for the lawfulness of the content you create, the accuracy of any location coordinates you choose to insert, and the rights you hold in any audio or text you record. Maintaining backups beyond iCloud sync is your responsibility.
Disclaimers and limitation of liability
SwiphtPapers is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Developer disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. The Developer does not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of data loss.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Developer's total liability arising from or relating to your use of SwiphtPapers will not exceed the amount you paid for the app or the most recent subscription period, whichever is greater. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law (for example, liability for fraud, gross negligence, or — in some jurisdictions — death or personal injury).
Governing law and consumer rights
These Terms, and any non-contractual obligations arising out of them, are governed by the laws applicable to your App Store storefront, except where overridden by the mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of residence.
Nothing in these Terms restricts the statutory rights you have as a consumer in your jurisdiction. If any provision of these Terms is unenforceable in your jurisdiction, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
