Help for ClambHook on macOS.

Contact

For macOS setup, license activation, device transfers, connection trouble, profile import issues, paid update questions, or feature requests, write to:

[email protected]

Include the ClambHook version, macOS version, Mac model, active profile name, and what happened instead of what you expected.

Before sending a configuration

ClambHook profiles can include private configuration details. Do not send full configuration files or sensitive account details unless support explicitly asks for a safe example.

When possible, reproduce the issue with a sample profile or redact server addresses, user identifiers, and access details before sharing screenshots or logs.

Common questions

What does ClambHook do?

ClambHook is a powerful macOS network tool for Apple Silicon Macs. It lets you import or edit profiles, choose the active profile, apply rules, and inspect local status from one app.

Which profile formats are supported?

ClambHook supports multiple common profile formats for advanced network workflows. Public documentation keeps this description high level; share the exact format privately with support only when needed for diagnosis.

The app says the profile is a placeholder.

Replace the default sample profile before connecting. The placeholder exists only to show the expected TOML structure and is not a working connection profile.

The system permission prompt did not appear.

Open ClambHook, confirm that a usable profile is imported, then connect again. If the prompt still does not appear, restart the app and check macOS System Settings for the ClambHook network extension entry.

Profile import is not working.

Confirm the imported payload is a ClambHook-compatible profile and that private values were not truncated by the source app. If you paste a profile manually, keep the TOML structure intact.

How does the macOS license work?

ClambHook has a two-month free trial. A USD 99.99 one-time license unlocks purchased features forever on up to four active Apple Silicon Macs. New features released after the included first year require a USD 8.99 paid update.

How do I transfer a license seat?

Open ClambHook on the active Mac, deactivate or transfer the device in License settings, then activate with the same license key on the new Mac. A license can have four active devices at the same time.

Where is the installer?

The macOS installer is distributed only from jpfchang.org. It is not released on GitHub. Use the Buy or Download page to start the trial or purchase a license.

Diagnostics

ClambHook can show local connection status, profile state, rules, and recent logs to help diagnose setup problems. These details stay on your device unless you export or send them.

  • -Send only the minimum information needed to reproduce the issue.
  • -Remove account details, access details, tokens, and private configuration material before sharing diagnostics.
  • -Describe the exact action you took, the active profile, and the error or status shown in the app.
